Why are we complaining? We should be greatful for someone like Mal Meninga, most successful State of Origin coach in history, to humble himself and want to help DEVELOP, I repeat, DEVELOP rugby league in Papua New Guinea as the high performance coach. Why can't we see that? its embarrassing to see articles in the newspaper blaming the coaches for the Kumuls loss to Australia. I mean, come on, its Australia for goodness sakes. One of the best teams in the world. Who can beat them? maybe New Zealand, but most definitely not PNG, not now, probably in the next decade or so.
We complain like Mal and Adrian are gods, supposed to miraculously chant something and spit lime and buai on the field so that there is no shadow of a doubt that we're suppose to win.
Kumuls are still growing, they're still developing, the programs are starting to inplement a more structured approach to how we previously thought of rugby to be. People (Papua New Guineans) have to understand that patiences is a virtue. Time will only help strengthen our chances of winning a world cup. My advice to Papua New Guineans out there is, let the experts do what they are trained to do, and just give all your support to your countrymen, they have a lot to prove especially with the whole country behind them.
All the best Kumuls and lets make a positive impact on the world stage!
